Programming a new fob is brand-specific. Some cars allow on-board programming with a sequence of brake and ignition presses; others require a diagnostic-port tool. Ninety percent of fob failures are dead batteries. CR2032 or CR2025 coin cells are the standard, and we carry both. Battery replacement is a five-minute job and often the only repair a fob needs. We test the new battery's voltage under load before reinstalling it — a fresh battery that reads twelve percent low gets pulled and replaced.
